The runway at Princess Juliana International Airport on Saint Martin (actually, on the Dutch side, spelled Sint Maarten) ends right at Maho Beach. It’s a typical tourist thing to watch the planes fly literally right over your head, and also to stand up against the fence and let 747s’s engine exhaust blow you over before takeoff. We enjoyed an amazing sunset on Maho Beach one evening. While we didn’t get to see jumbo jets come in, it was amazing to see the even the smaller planes fly right overhead. Here’s are a few videos of planes coming in, flying right over my head. You can almost touch them!
